17.2hh 28-year-old Bavarian Warmblood Bay Gelding – Domingo x Leila
When Lynn saw Charlie 4 hours after he was born, knew he was ‘the one’ and he became her baby boy. She has owned him since he was 6 months old. Charlie was shown successfully in hand as a youngster and has won various dressage and showing classes throughout the years. 28 years later he’s still going strong and enjoys the odd hack out. Most definitely Lynn's horse of a lifetime.

Currently standing around 16hh, rising 3 years old Black Irish Draught filly - Classic Scot x Laighlands Deils Cauldron
Luna is Stephen’s baby. She arrived when she was weaned and is currently just enjoying life as a youngster and the attention of both humans and fellow horses. This summer, she will be introduced to having a saddle and bridle and eventually a human on her back. Watch this space!

12.2hh 18 year old Palomino Welsh X gelding
Teddy was given to us 7 years ago. He is a very loving boy who has won numerous in hand showing classes and a few championships since he came to us. Due to some issues he had before he came to us, Teddy probably won’t be a ridden pony, however, he will stand for hours on end to be groomed and will happily give cuddles to anyone who will accept them. Teddy is one of the ponies we hope to use for therapy pony work.

34” 19-year-old piebald miniature Shetland stallion – Romany Kinsman x Romany Virtue
Lynn bought Badger 11 years ago as a showing pony. He is exceptionally well bred and is registered with the Shetland Pony Stud Book and also the British Skewbald and Piebald Association. He was graded joint stallion champion at the BSPA grading. His sire, Romany Kinsman and grand sire, Romany Paco, were prolific European and World Champions. He has been successfully shown throughout the years but for the last few, has been “nanny” to 4 young colts, including Soprano. He is a lovely lad and very easy to handle.
34” 26-year-old black miniature Shetland mare - Cullerne Edward x Ella of Bayview
Emily is a very well-bred pony originating from a stud in Orkney. Bought at Carlisle sales in foal with Star, Emily was already known to us as we had bought a few Shetlands from one of her previous owners. Emily is mum to Star and another of our mini’s, Dusty Bluebell (currently on loan to friends) and also grandmother to Alexander.
28” 15-year-old black miniature Shetland gelding – Cousland Starlite x Nessie’s Poppy
Alexander is the smallest of our ponies, with the longest name and the biggest attitude. He was gelded late and looks on the other Shetlands as his “girls” and will chase off even the biggest horses – he definitely has “Wee Man Syndrome”. Alexander is too small to be ridden or driven but is such a character. We love him dearly and happy to have him as a field ornament. He has been earmarked as one of our possible therapy ponies
32” 7-year-old Piebald miniature Shetland gelding – Stranduff Maxwell x Stranduff Jeanette
Freddie came to us as a 4-month-old foal along with Bam Bam and Barney. They were sold originally at the Aberdeen Shetland sales as newly weaned foals for the ridiculous price of £10!! We were fortunate to purchase them for £75 from a local dealer. Freddie has grown into a fine boy and exceptionally strong.

34” 7-year-old Chestnut miniature Shetland gelding - Stranduff Gypsy King x Mailand Gigi
Bam Bam came from the same dealer as Freddie. Lynn had liked the look him when he was advertised but he’d already been sold. When the sale fell through, Stephen and Darran very kindly bought him as a gift for her. As we already had a pony called Star, we had to think of another name. As we already had Freddie and Barney it was obvious he had to be named Bam Bam – they are collectively known as the Flintstones. Bam Bam is an apt name for him as he is a very strange wee boy but absolutely gorgeous to look at.
34” 19-year-old skewbald miniature Shetland stallion Tawna Mr Kipling x Tawna Fanfare
Mac was a bit of an impulse buy – he is exceptionally well bred from a very famous and well-established stud in Cornwall. Mac was shown and won numerous classes in the past and has bred some outstanding foals. Mac is also broken to drive. He is quite the Mr. Personality (among other names !!) and very popular at the yard.
11hh 13-year-old Shetland x pony mare - Emily of Seb ay x ?
Well, what can we say about Star! Her mother was bought at Carlisle sales, supposedly in foal to a miniature Shetland stallion. 2 1/2 months later, Star arrived and on first sight it was obvious she was definitely NOT a pure miniature Shetland! On further investigation, it is thought that she is a mini Shetland x Appaloosa/Welsh cross. She has the most fantastic movement and is exceptionally quick. Star has taken a long time to mature and has only recently been properly backed but is now proving to be very relaxed and accepting. She has also been reined and ready to put in the carriage.

Soprano is a 12.2hh, 7-year-old chestnut gelding - Welsh Section C X SHP – Redpools Medici x Rotherwood Spring Holly
Soprano came to us at 6 months old and was an extremely strange looking wee boy. He was an ugly duckling who has grown into a beautiful swan. He has also turned out to be very talented, driving individually and as a pair with his half-brother Alfie.

Ruby is Gem's foal. We had no idea Gem was in foal until the end of February 2021, then Ruby arrived in June 2021! Clever Gem managed to birth on her own - we had camera's in the stable but of course at the crucial moment it went off line! Ruby now stands around 13.1hh, just slightly smaller that her mum and should make around 14.2/15hh. She is a stunner and we have high hopes for her in the future. We will hopefully get her out to some shows in 2022 to get her used to the 'big wide world'.
We have been fortunate to place some of our other precious Shetlands on long term loan. They are all thriving and we get regular updates on their exploits
